I have not fallen of the face of the earth! Sadly, I haven't been writing much due to a whole heap of things going on in life, but it is Lent - a time to focus and reflect. So, I am going to try to get back to writing every day during these 40 days.
Announce – If someone
were going to take the time to announce something there would typically be a
pause in the activity to hear the announcement.
The information being provided has value to the listener. When I saw the word “Announce” the first
thought that came to mind was when the angels came to announce that the Savior
had been born or when the angel came to announce to Zechariah that Elizabeth
was going to have a baby. In both
instances the announcement was given in a grand way. It was important to stop and hear what the
angel had to say.
As the Lenten season begins it is approp The announcement
begins with the Angels saying a Savior has been born, years later followed by
Jesus announcing on the cross “Father; into your hands I commit my spirit!”
(Luke 23:46), and three days later the Angel came to announce “Do not be
afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for He has risen, as He said.”
(Matthew 28:5-6). These verses offer us
a great deal to reflect upon as the Lenten Season begins.
riate to begin with
the word “Announce”.
