He is Risen!

Jesus Christ has Risen!

He is Risen Indeed! Alleluia!

You had the opportunity to ponder scripture over the last six weeks and share with Jesus through your prayers.  Take a moment to look back and see how Jesus was with you these past six weeks.  Continue to ponder scripture each day and sharing your thoughts and feelings with Jesus.

Happy Easter to all!

Prayer Journal - Firmly Fixed!

Prayer Journal Continued...

Psalm 119:89-90
"Forever, O Lord, your word
is firmly fixed in the heavens.
Your faithfulness endures to all generations;
you have established the earth, and it stands fast."

As we approach Holy Week, we know His faithfulness endures to all generations and His word is forever.  Continue to spend time in prayer and look back through your prayer journal and see how His faithfulness has endured.

Prayer Journal - Surrounded!

Prayer Journal Continued...

Psalm 125:1-2
"Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion,
which cannot be moved, but abides forever.
As the mountains surround Jerusalem,
so the Lord surrounds His people,
from this time forth and forevermore."

Notice how the Lord is surrounding you.  Look back through your prayer journal and see the Lord's protection within your life.

Prayer Journal - Thirsty!

Prayer Journal Continued...

Psalm 63:1-3
"O God, you are my God;
earnestly I seek you;
my soul thirsts for you;
my flesh faints for you,
as in a dry and weary land
where there is no water.
So I have looked upon you in the sanctuary,
beholding your power and glory.
Because your steadfast love is better than life,
my lips will praise you."

The season of Lent is almost over as next week we will be entering Holy Week.  I hope as you have taken time to pray and seek the Lord through scripture your soul is being quenched of its thirst.  Yet, it still thirsts to continue to have a deeper relationship with your Savior!

Prayer Journal - Crying Out!

Prayer Journal Continued...

Psalm 142:1-2,5
"With my voice I cry out to the Lord;
with my voice I plead for mercy to the Lord.
I pour out my complaint before Him;
I tell my trouble before Him.
I cry to you, O Lord;
I say, "You are my refuge,
my portion in the land of the living".

In talking with a friend today, I asked if she had shared her grief with the Lord and the response was quiet.  Don't forgot to share your troubled heart with Him.  He understands.

Prayer Journal - Gracious!

Prayer Journal Continued...

Psalm 116:5-8
"Gracious is the Lord, and righteous;
our God is merciful.
The Lord preserves the simple;
when I was brought low, He saved me.
Return, O my soul, to your rest;
for the Lord has dealt bountifully with you.
For you have delivered my soul from death;
my eyes from tears,
 my feet from stumbling."

Our Lord is gracious!  Take a moment to see how gracious He has been to you.

Prayer Journal - Sustained!

Prayer Journal continued...

Psalm 55:1-3,22
"Give ear to my prayer, O God,
and hide not yourself from my pleas for mercy!
Attend to me, and answer me;
I am restless in my complaint and I moan,
because of the noise of the enemy,
because of the oppression of the wicked.
For they drop trouble upon me,
and in anger they bear a grudge against me.
Cast your burden on the Lord,
and he will sustain you
he will never permit
 the righteous to be moved."

It is interesting how many times through the Psalms the psalmist is pouring his heart out to God.  God is always available to pour your heart out!

Prayer Journal - Every Morning!

Prayer Journal Continued...

Lamentations 3:22-24
"The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
His mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
The Lord is my portion, says my soul,
therefore I will hope in Him."

It is amazing to see how the Lord's love is shown in so many different ways.  As you continue in your prayer journal note how you get to start each day "new".

Prayer Journal - Snow!

Prayer Journal Continued...

Isaiah 55:8-12
"For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways, declared the Lord.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven
and do not return there but water the earth,
making it bring forth and sprout,
giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater,
so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth;
it shall not return to me empty,
but it shall accomplish that which I purpose,
and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.
For you shall go out in joy
and be led forth in peace;
the mountains and the hills before you
shall break forth into singing,
and all the trees of the shall clap their hands."

I thought I would find a passage that talked about snow in honor of the snow we are getting tonight and tomorrow.  The Lord's word is not empty words but words that will accomplish the purpose He has set it out to accomplish.  What is the Lord saying to you through His words?  Are you hearing Him?

Prayer Journal - Before the Lord

Prayer Journal Continued...

Psalm 119:169-173
"Let me cry come before you, O Lord;
give me understanding according to you word!
Let my plea come before you;
deliver me according to your word.
My lips will pour forth praise,
for you teach me your statutes.
My tongue will sing of your word,
for all your commandments are right.
Let your hand be ready to help me,
for I have chosen your precepts.

It is comforting to know we can cry out to the Lord!  It is comforting to know we can ask Him for wisdom!  It is comforting to know His hand is ready to help us!  I hope as you are doing this prayer journal you are seeing the Lord present in your life!

Prayer Journal - Upheld!

Prayer Journal Continued...

Psalm 145:13-18
"Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
and your dominion endures throughout all generations.
The Lord is faithful in all His words
and kind in all His works.
The Lord upholds all who are falling
and raises up all who are bowed down.
the eyes of all look to you,
and you give them their food in due season.
You open your hand;
you satisfy the desire of every living thing.
The Lord is righteous in all His ways
and kind in all His works.
The Lord is near to all who call on Him,
to all who call on Him in truth."

The Lord is near!  Call on Him!  He will uphold you!
