Sign...
Something that reveals information; information that would be helpful. The information within the photo helps the reader understand about George Washington's Boyhood home. A curve sign along the road helps the driver understand that they should expect the road to curve and at what speed the curve should be taken at. The information provided by the sign is not only helpful in some instances it is necessary. The Lord promised a Savior to be born as well as provided information so all would know a Savior was born. "Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel." Isaiah 7:14. There is no doubt that on the day Jesus was born that He was the Savior; born of a virgin. The people throughout the ages had been given a sign of what was to come. They had been given information that helped them understand what was happening when it happened. We have been provided the same gift. When Jesus returns 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 provides us information. "For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God...therefore encourage one another with these words" (Verse 16 and 18). Through the ages people shared how the Savior was going to be born. We now need to share with one another how He will come again!
