Reflect…
I love walking past still water and seeing reflections
within the water. The surroundings of
the water paint a beautiful picture within the water and it makes for great
opportunities to take pictures. However,
it is not always beautiful things surrounding the water and the lack of beauty
can be seen within the reflection. Scripture demonstrates this very concept. Proverbs 27:19 notes, “As in water face reflects face, so the heart
of man reflects the man”. When we look
within the water our face will reflect back.
It will not be any other face looking back at us. The same goes for our heart. If our heart is filled with the love it will
show through our actions. If our heart
is filled with anger that, too will show through our actions.
Have you reflected upon what your reflection is showing? Are there times that you just cringe on what
your reflection reflected? I know for me
there are many times the reflection is not beautiful. Thankfully, I have a Savior that forgives as
I get it wrong over and over again. Ask
Christ to help you reflect what He wants you to reflect.
