New Year's Resolution

It is that time of year when people make New Year's resolutions.  Many resolutions revolve around fitness, health, financial, better parent, better spouse, and the list goes on.  How about considering spending time with our Savior this year; really taking time to delve into His Word and connecting with Him.  Psalm 131 is a great Psalm to pray each and every day.

I Have Calmed and Quieted My Soul

 

O Lord, My heart is not lifted up;

my eyes are not raised too high;

I do not occupy myself with things

too great and too marvelous for me.

 

But I have calmed and quieted my soul,

like a weaned child with its mother;

like a weaned child is my soul within me.

 

O Israel, hope in the Lord

from this time forth and forevermore.

 

Psalm 131

 

 

A calm and quiet soul allows the opportunity to spend time with Christ; to hear Him; to know His plans for you.  Take moments each and every day to spend in His word, to pray, and to find that peace because He has overcome the world! (John 16:33)
