I have a dear friend that is struggling as it seems that if it could happen it will happen. So this week I would like to share two verses from the book of Psalms as scripture is the place to turn when in need of comfort.
Psalm 6:2 - Be gracious to me, O Lord, for I am languishing; heal me, O Lord, for my bones are troubled.
Psalm 30:2 - O Lord my God, I cried to you for help, and you have healed me.
The Psalms provide such great prayers we can offer to our Heavenly Father! Share with Him how it is that you are in need of help. Take all of the concern that each day brings to Him and let Jesus take care of it!

Snow!
I am not particularly a huge fan of the white stuff. However, when you look through the lens of a camera snow is beautiful. It is amazing to contemplate how each flake is unique. How many snowflakes do you think it took to get the little piles of snow in this picture? A whole lot! That is a whole lot of uniqueness from our Creator falling from the sky. Thank you Lord for caring enough about every little detail on this earth!

Bible Passage for the Week
1 Corinthians 15:33 - "Do not be deceived: Bad company ruins good morals."
Parents face this with their children all the time. As children are developing friends and hanging out with kids, parents are trying to help their children find friends that will not ruin the good morals being instilled in them. It is no different for adults. If we choose to hang around those who see no value in Christ and want to live the "free" life, temptation will ensue. The "free" life can look pretty good; yet, it doesn't bring the freedom we have in Christ.
Do not "snub" those who want to live the "free" life. Live your life so they can see the light of Christ living with in you. This is a great opportunity to witness. In that, when they invite you to do something that just doesn't sit well within your morals it is an opportunity to say no thanks.

The Greatness in Creation!
The vastness of this log is amazing! The guy sitting next to me is too! To sit and ponder how this massive log was once a tiny seed is mind boggling. The Lord's creative plan is fascinating!

Bible Passage for the Week
"For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich." 2 Corinthians 8:8
It is amazing to think how rich we are because our Lord Jesus Christ humbled Himself to poverty. He gave Himself up for us so we could have eternal life. We have a place in Heaven that we will be able to call home forever.
We are also richly blessed on this side of Heaven. A suggestion I noticed on Pinterest stated to have a jar, bucket, or some sort of container and every time you receive a blessing put a note in the container. Then at the end of the year read all the blessings you recorded throughout the year. I'm sure we would all be astonished in how many blessings we have received.

Seeing God's Work through a Lens
I noted in my New Years Resolution post to consider spending more time with the Lord. For me, one way to do that is using my camera. When I look through the lens of the camera, I am in awe of how the Lord has so creatively orchestrated all creation. I find peace in knowing and seeing how He carefully created each and everything. With that, this year I would like to share His creation as I see it through the lens of a camera. So periodically I will post pictures of His great work!
